This is the Midwest’s largest public emergency vehicle show with over 200 fire engines, police cars, ambulances, emergency management and military vehicles on display. Generous participation by local public safety agencies, including the North Aurora Fire and Police Departments and the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, allows the public to safely witness amazing real-life situations. Demonstrations include vehicle crashes with hazardous materials needing heavy duty extrication and medevac helicopter responses, S.W.A.T. team high-risk entry maneuvers, and an emergency vehicle obstacle course conducted by the editor of Law and Order magazine. Children’s activities include fire trucks rides, water fights, and fire safety displays. In keeping with our public safety theme, vendors offer related collectibles and memorabilia, and food and drinks.

The Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle Show takes place on Saturday, August 4, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at I-88 and Randall Rd. in North Aurora, IL on show grounds provided by Aurora Pump Company and Oberweis Dairy and insured by the Village of North Aurora, North Aurora Days Festival.
