| I am a long time subscriber but have never posted before until recent events have me reaching out for help! My 1972 Pontiac Lemans Sport convertible was damaged a couple of months ago when a high speed wind storm collapsed the garage on the car. I have owed the car for 25 years and was fully restored. The garage crushed the windshield frame down several inches on both sides bending the header in one area near the right side roof latch point. The good news is that the top was down so it was undamaged. My question is can these frames be straightened or would another donor frame need to be found and re-welded to the car? I know this is a critical part of the vehicle body so it will not be an easy fix, but after 25 years I have to make the attempt.
